The Crocker-Grebel family, from grandparents to grandchildren, took off on a magical 9-day trip to Croatia from US in May/June 2023. Days 1 & 2: Dubrovnik’s Magic
Their adventure began in Dubrovnik, where the crystal-clear Adriatic Sea meets centuries of history. Upon arrival at the airport, they were greeted by a Limitless Balkan representative and escorted to the Grand Villa Argentina, a 5-star haven offering exquisite views and sumptuous hospitality.
The first day was marked by an exhilarating private sunset kayaking excursion around the Old Town and Lokrum Island – a perfect introduction to Dubrovnik's magical allure.
The following day, a private walking tour led by our expert guide delved into the rich tapestry of Dubrovnik’s Old Town. The family wandered through streets lined with history, uncovering secrets of the past. The day's adventure continued with a panoramic ride to the summit of Srd Mountain, offering breathtaking views of Dubrovnik and its surroundings.
The day culminated in the rustic charm of Konavle Valley, where dinner of local delicacies and fine wine awaited in the beautiful surroundings of Ljuta river.
Day 3 - Pelješac Delights and Split's Charms
On the third day, the journey led them to the historic city of Split, with a captivating stop on the Pelješac Peninsula. Here, in a hidden coastal paradise, the family savored the freshest oysters and mussels, paired with homemade bread and local wines. A visit to a prominent Pelješac winery introduced them to the region’s celebrated red wines. Their arrival in Split was marked by a stay at the enchanting Judita Palace Hotel, followed by a private guided tour exploring the historic and hidden treasures of Split’s Old Town.
Day 4 - The Natural Beauty of Plitvice Lakes
The Plitvice Lakes National Park, with its cascading waterfalls and emerald lakes, was the highlight of day four. Their private guide led them through the upper and lower lakes, revealing the serene beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage site. The day ended back in Split, where the family rested in anticipation of their upcoming island adventures.
Day 5 & 6 - Island Hopping – Vis, Blue Cave, and Hvar
A thrilling speedboat journey on day five took them to the mystical Blue Cave and the island of Vis. The day concluded on Hvar, at the 4-star Hotel Riva Marina, offering stunning sea views. Day six began with a private guided exploration of Hvar’s Old Town, including visits to its ancient theater and a unique lace museum. The day ended with a scenic drive to a quaint village, where a local dinner with sunset views featured traditional dishes like peka.
Day 7 & 8 - Korčula's Charm and Relaxation
The next destination was the enchanting island of Korčula. After a scenic speedboat transfer, they delved into Korčula’s rich history with a guided tour. Day eight was reserved for leisure, allowing the family to bask in the tranquil beauty of the island, creating lasting memories at their own pace.
Day 9 - Journey’s End
Their final day began with a luxury minibus ride to Dubrovnik airport, reflecting on a journey filled with beauty, culture, and family bonding. Transported in premium Mercedes Sprinter minibuses and Colnago speedboats, every leg of their journey was imbued with luxury and comfort.
